OVERVIEW

The Department of Economics and Management of Samara National Research University (Samara University) is launching its 2015 High Technology Management (HTM) Summer School. We have a very exciting offer combining teaching with the actual delivery of a technology commercialisation project, tours to SSAU research laboratories and a cultural programme. This course is open to all ambitious management students.
Students will chose their project from one of the set themes and form a group of 4-5 students. The group will research, analyse and present on the theme, receiving support from SSAU faculty and our outstanding research facilities.

SCHOOL PROGRAM

Upon completion of the course, all participants will be provided with a certificate. Participants who take the final exam will also be provided with an official academic transcript to allow students to transfer credit, if desired.

INFORMATION

Samara is one of the largest cities in Russia, located in the South-Eastern part of European Russia, on the Volga river. The city was founded in 1586 as a trading centre. It is now an important political, industrial, technology and cultural center in Russia.

Samara National Research University, named after the renowned academic and aerospace designer, Sergei Korolev, is a Russian national research university. SSAU graduates engineers and managers for the aerospace, radio-electronic, information technology, metallurgical and automotive industries.

After 36 hours, 4 planes and 5 airports... Brazil, here I am! It's almost impossible to say how amazing this experience in Russia was. Besides being one great course, the High Tecnology Management made it possible that different people around the world could build a great friendship in a really short time. 10 days ago it wouldn't be possible to imagine that people from Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Nederlands, Belgium, France, UK, China and Kazakhstan would be studying, working together at the Samara National Research University and enjoying what the city and the region have to offer! I've not imagined that in just one week would be possible to improve that much academically, professionally, culturally and personally as happened to me. SSAU HTM summer school has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. I was extremely surprised to see what we have been able to achieve in group projects in only 3 days, thanks to the lectures, workshops and support of all teachers ! Obviously, this week was also a great way to discover Russia, Samara and the Volga region. Finally, one of the greatest features of this stay was to be able to join a group of people from so many different nationalities which from I'm sure I'll keep friends for a long time. A special mention to all volunteers among Samara students who made this stay an outstanding one. Thank you very much, can't wait to go back !

I am very honored to take part in the great summer school! The organization is perfectly well. I had a totally different experience in school courses. The workshop is very very good and help us absorb knowledge efficiently. The professors and lecturers are responsible and friendly; you volunteers are sooooo warm-hearted and make me fill at home! I have to say thankyou again! However, I am the only one who is from China with the very different culture with others, sometimes I just felt a liitle difficulty to join others. In a word, I enjoy this summer school which let me get some new friends from all over the world and learn mang other cultures. It's an awesome program!

Dear organizers! In my opinion, this summer school has been very well organized, considering that is the first time. That was a long and productive week. Where else could we meet so many international people? The command work has been organized properly too, although we could take more time to finish our presentations, and make them more attractive. So, if it had been the organizer’s plan then it’s a great idea. In respect to that I’m not predisposed to market relations, I got a big experience and I really enjoyed the school, thank you for that. About cultural program and accommodations: there are no remarks here. We traveled almost the whole city, and learned its history. They fed us a lot and often. In hostel we had all we need. Finally, I would like to say - that week was not in vain for me. I wish that the following events (they necessarily should be in the future) should not be a worse than this summer.
